Detox Time!


Hi everyone! Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. We had a lot of downtime, so I feel rejuvenated and ready to get to back to a routine. I'm also ready to shed a few extra pounds. No regrets though~ the chocolate bûche de Noël was definitely worth a few extra bites!!! So, for me, January always includes a little detox. I've never tried a "cleansing diet" or any of those trendy "detox" juice diets...I just try to eat healthy~ more fruits and vegetables and less sugar and bad carbs~ AND exercise. I usually give myself a few weeks to look for real results so that I'm not discouraged. Do you change your diet after the holidays?

Nothing like a little motivation to help jump start the process...

I started a detox too! Well, a little early...around October I stopped eating meat. It's been incredibly easy. I also decided to drink more water and just get move more throughout the day (I have no motivation to exercise...)

great motivation!! I just go back to my regular health routine on January and let my body recuperates slowly by itself.. hope the best to you in this new stage of your life :)

Same here! I ate a lot of cookies and comfort foods and am getting back on track. I don't like the quick fixes either and find that eating better and doing a spin class 1-2 times a week does the trick!
